Students Gearing Up for Winter Break Recruiting

Pomona students, along with students from 13 other top-ranked colleges, participate in Regional Recruiting Days for permanent positions and internships that are held in Boston, Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C. This is a great opportunity for any organization to meet top talent from prestigious schools from across the country, without having to leave your home city. To learn more, go to: http://www.slaconsortium.org/

If you can't participate in a recruiting day event, we also offer a virtual career fair in late March called the Coast-to-Coast Virtual Fair. The cost is only $200 - For Profit Employers, $100 - Federal Government Employers, and $75 Non-Profit Employers.

These are both great opportunities to reach top talent and maximize your budget and time.

Recruiting Season Going Well

The fall recruiting season is going very well. We're seeing more employers and graduate schools doing events this fall than all of last year. Their events have been well attended and we have full interview schedules. There is still time to book an event for this year, or for next semester. Just email me at recruiting@pomona.edu.

School starting on September 1

Students return on September 1st, and recruiting season gets underway. It's best to wait a week or two to let the students settle in and figure out their schedule and classes. However, start your recruiting early, as students get busy quickly and mid-terms approach starting the middle of October.

There is no cost to hold an information table or session, post a job, or interview on-campus. It's all free and you can reach top talent from all the Claremont Colleges in one visit. To learn more or schedule your recruiting visit, contact me, Kristina Sanchez, at kristina.sanchez@pomona.edu your 909-607-7905.

Happy September!

Gain Visibility and Name Recognition with our CDO Resource Guides

To help increase the effectiveness of your on-campus recruiting efforts this year, we want to offer you an opportunity to reach all of our students at a very inexpensive price. As a sponsor of our CDO Resource Guides, you will have an advertisement about your organization placed in a resource that we use on a daily basis in our office for counseling appointments and drop-ins with our 1500 student body population. Additionally, we provide this guide to seniors to welcome them back. Being a sponsor includes you in this welcome to the seniors, and helps build your brand at Pomona College. The resource guides are something that the students refer to throughout the year...so the ad is much more permanent than something in a newspaper or magazine type of publication.

The prices are:Full-page (7" x 10") ............... $350

Half-page (7" x 4 7/8").......... $200

All ads must be print-ready, black and white only, and should be submitted by August 17, 2009. Space is Limited - Reply Today! To learn more, contact Kristina Sanchez at (909) 607-7905 or Kristina.Sanchez@pomona.edu.
